 TO ALL STUDENTS THAT WERE OUT ON FRIDAY. REPORT CARDS WILL BE HANDED OUT AT LUNCHES TODAY. DO NOT GO TO GUIDANCE FOR YOUR REPORT CARD. 

Softball practice will be inside from 2:30 to 4:15 today girls should be dressed and ready on the gym floor by 2:30

On Friday, Pathfinder students competed at the district 5 SkillsUSA competition held at Bay Path RVTHS in Charlton. I am proud to announce that we earned 13 medals in six trade contests. The follow students earned medals;

Automated Manufacturing- Silver medal team of Aidan Beaulieu, Lucas Leclerc and Jake Hammond.            Bronze medal team of Adam Warner, Kylee Livernois and Rachel Keough
Automotive Refinishing- Silver medal, Abigail Killian
CNC Milling- Bronze medal,Quinn Carroll
CNC Technician- Gold medal, Btittany Fricke 
Electronics Technology- Gold medal, JeremyTrembley
                                       Bronze medal, Kyle Lesiege
Urban Search and Rescue- Silver medal team of Jason Malouin and Aaron Walsh

The gold and silver medalists will now move on to the state contest April 27,28,29, at Blackstone ValleyRVTHS. I want to thank all of the students for their efforts as well as their instructors in helping them prepare. A big thank you to Frank Legassey, Cynthia Rubin and Caitlin Phelps for their help as chaperones and to the paras, Cindy, Caitlin, Jean, and Jessica that came to assist with our students, Thank you also to Eric Duda for coming out to support us.

Again, another successful student group from Pathfinder.Here's to more continued success!

Springfield Technical Community College (STCC) will be holding an Open House event at their campus on Wednesday, March 22nd from 4-7pm for students from any grade interested in learning more about the college.  Seniors who bring a high school transcript can be instantly accepted at the event.

Any senior interested in applying to Westfield State University who has not yet done so, please be advised that their application deadline has been extended to March 30

Universal Technical Institute in Norwood, MA offers programs in automotive and diesel.  UTI will have an open house and scholarship test competition this Saturday March 18th from 8am to 3pm.

 

The scholarship test covers basic academics, industry, and professionalism and allows students the chance to earn up to $3500 in scholarship money depending on how they perform.  

We will be administering the 10th grade English MCAS on Tuesday, March 21, Wednesday, March 22, and Thursday March 23.

In order to provide the optimal testing atmosphere for our tenth grade students, Pathfinder will have a three-hour delay for students in grades 9, 11, and 12 on MCAS days.

Students in grade 10 will report to school at their regularly scheduled time. 

Again the three-hour delay is only for students in grades 9, 11, and 12 and those who are scheduled for MCAS make-ups. 

On Friday March 17, there will be table set up in the cafeteria for all sophomores to check their bus pick up time on MCAS days. Please stop by the lunch table for your information. It is imperative that you check to ensure you are picked up on MCAS days. Students will also have the ability to check their pick up times with their bus drivers.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the school.

Winter Sports banquet will be this  Thursday, March 16th.  The banquet will begin at  6 pm, with food being served by 6:30 followed by Coaches presentations of players and awards.

Sign - Ups for baseball will take place at 2 pm on Thursday in room 227. If you plan on trying out you need to attend this meeting.

Due to the impending storm, our District 5 Skills USA Competition at Bay Path RVTHS has been postponed and moved to Friday, March 24th. The same schedule will apply for that day, leaving at 9:15 and returning by 7:15- 7:30

THE THIRD BLOOD DRIVE OF THE YEAR WILL BE THIS THURSDAY MARCH 16 IN THE GYM. 16 YEAR OLDS THAT HAVE SIGNED UP TO DONATE NEED TO HAVE THEIR PERMISSION SLIPS IN ASAP.





Please note that all staff members (teacher, clerical, maintenance, paraprofessional,administrator, and lunch staff) are encouraged to attend the faculty meeting at 2:20 in the library this afternoon.  At the beginning of the meeting there will be a short discussion on the Health Insurance Audit and some notes on our FY18 Budget.

Belmont driving school is holding a spring class here at Pathfinder on Tuesdays and Thursdays after school. Interested students can sign up in the reception office you must be 15 years and nine months or older to sign up for the class.

Just a reminder to all students next Monday, March 13 will now be full day of school.

Attention seniors class dues are $50 must be submitted by May 1 in order to receive your class T-shirt please submit payments to the programming and web shop.

Pathfinder second annual dodgeball tournament is this afternoon starting at 4 PM's team should be wearing similar color T-shirts. If you would like to come and cheer on your friends or just watch the tournament it's a dollar to get in and make sure to have some extra cash for concessions.

Detention today will be held down in the hospitality shop room 109. From 2:30 until 3:30 please bring work to do or a book to read.

There will be a junior class meeting this Friday at 1:50 in the gym instructors please accompany your students

There will be a brief cheerleading meeting Wednesday after school in the cafeteria. Girls are to bring their uniforms, and Krispy Kreme orders and money.

Pathfinder's second annual dodgeball tournament will be held on Thursday, March 9 starting at 4 PM you may sign up your team with Mr. Pare in room 201 either before or after school. You will need a six person team, and $30 when signing up. Wednesday is the last day to sign up your team.

Girls interested in softball need to have an up-to-date physical. Please see Coach Puls  in room 203 to see if your physical is up-to-date. You cannot try out if your physical is out of date or you do not have one.

We will be holding our third blood drive of the year next Thursday, March 16. It is through the red cross and will be held in the gymnasium. Students must be 16 years or older to donate. 16-year-old students must have a signed permission slip from your guardian in order to participate. Sign-ups will be this Tuesday and Wednesday at all three lunches and before and after lunch you can sign up in the guidance office.

Attention Seniors who want to apply to HCC or STCC!  Both schools will be coming to Pathfinder for Decision Days, where admissions counselors will meet with you and make acceptances on the spot.  STCC will be here on Thursday February 2nd and HCC will be coming Friday February 3rd.  You can sign up and get applications in guidance! Applications MUST be submitted to guidance, or online, by Monday January 30th

The wrestling team has a match against Mohawk starting at 6:00 tonight

Girls basketball practice is at its regular time this afternoon and Boys Varsity basketball practice will start at 6 pm.

This past Friday, January 13th. seventeen Pathfinder students competed at the DECA District 7 competition in Boxborough, MA.

While all students made a great effort, Lindsey Kelleher placed second for Business Services Marketing, Shannon Fiore placed second for Accounting Applications, and Bethany Dowd placed fifth for Restaurant & Food Service Management.  All three will be moving on to compete at the State level.  Congratulations ladies!

Today is a backwards day for all academic classes.

ALL BASKETBALL GAMES FOR TONIGHT HAVE BEEN CANCELED 

ALL AFTERNOON ACTIVITIES FOR TODAY HAVE BEEN CANCELED. THAT MEANS NO GAMES, PRACTICES, EXTRA HELP OR DETENTION. THERE WILL NOT BE A LATE BUS THIS AFTERNOON ALL STUDENTS NEED TO BE OFF THE PROPERTY BY 2:40 PM 

The wrestling team beat East Longmeadow and Mt. Everett while losing to Granby on Saturday. Congratulations  to individual winners:
