Highlights:September 12: Pathfinder Boys Varisty soccer defeated Franklin Tech. Friday 2-0. Pathfinder continued to move the ball well, both offensively and defensively. Goalie Corey Morin and the defence completed the game with their first shut out. Pathfinder's 2 goals were scored Bryan Davey. Brad Landry and Eric Ukrainets each had one assists. The boys record is now 3-0. The boys next home game is thursday at 3:30 behind the school. September 16: Pathfinder Boys Varsity soccer defeated Pioneer Christian yesterday 4-2. Pathfinder total team concept resulted in four different players scoring. Bryan Davey, Brad Landry, Tyler Wood, and freshman Ruben Williams each fullbacks - Geno Gustatson, Justin Aiken, and Andrew Harrington lead by goalie Corey Morin played a rock solid defense through out the game. The boys record is now 4-0. The boys next game is September 18th behind the school at 3:30. September 25: After a difficult match yesterday, Pathfinder Boys Varsity soccer defeated Four Rivers 2-1. Both Pathfinder Goals where scored by Captain Eric Ukrainets with assists by Matias Templeman and Bryan Davey. September 30: After a well played match yesterday Pathfinder Boys Varsity soccer loss to Commerce 1-0. The boys next game is at Ware 3:30 on Friday. October 3: Pathfinder Boys Varsity soccer defeated Ware Friday night 2-0. Pathfinder's Ruben Williams scored both late in the second half, with an assist from Bryan Davey. Pathfinder's fullbacks - Gino Gustaton, Justin Aiken, Jeremy Desjardins, and Tyler Wood along with goalie Corey Morin earned another shut out. All of the team showed continoua solid play throughout the night. The boy's record is now 7-2. The boy's next game is tomorrow at 3:30 behind the school. October 9: Pathfinder's boy's soccer 3-0 win over Westfield Voc. Last night clinched them a Tournament spot. Three Min. into the game Eric Ukrainets crossed a near perfect ball to Jeff Belanger who finished it for a 1-0 lead. Just 10 min. later Justin Aiken rifled the ball from 25 yards out giving Pathfinder a 2-0 lead at half time. Bryan Davey scored the final goal off a perfect pass from Jeff Belanger. Center Fullback Jeremy Desjardins play a solid game throughout. Corey Morin earned his 4th shut out. The boy's record is now 9-2. October 14: Pathfinder's boy's Soccer redefined their definition of a Total Team concept upon defeating Frankilin tech. 6-nill. Every thing was played well start to finish. Jeff Belanger put up 4 goals and Ruben Williams 2. Assists were from Brandon Veratti, Justin Aiken and Andrew Harrington. Jeremy Desjardins lead the fullbacks to help Goalie Cory Morin earn his 4th shut out. The Boy's record is now 10-2. Their next game is hoem Friday at 3:30. October 17: Pathfinder's boy's Soccer Total Team's concept continues upon defeating Pioneer Christin 6-1. Every thing was played well start to finish. Scoring for Pathfinder was Eric Ukrainets, Brad Landry, Ruben Williams with 2 and Andrew Harrington with 2. Assists were from Jeff Belanger with 2, Andrew Harrington with 2, Eric Ukrainets with 1. Bradon Veratti and Jeremy Desjardins both had an outstanding game as well. The Boy's record is now 11-2. October 24: Pathfinder's boy's Soccer tied St. Mary's 2-2. Scoring for Pathfinder was Ruben Williams and Bryan Davey. Ruben Williams and Brad Landry each had one assist in the game. The boy's record is now 11-2-1. October 28: Pathfinder boy's varsity soccer team defeated Four Rivers 2-0. Their record is now 12-3-1. The goals where made by Jeff Belanger and Ruben Williams each had one goal. The assists where made from Eric Ukrainets and Ruben Williams each with one assists. November 3: Pathfinder Boys Varsity Soccer defeated ware yesterday, 5-1. Pioneers goals were scored by Bryan Davey (with a hat-trick). Jeff Belanger had one goal and two assist. Bradon Veratti rocketed one in from 30 yards. Ruben Williams also had one assist. Andrew Harrington, Brad Landry, Eric Ukrients dominated the midfield throughout the game. The entire team played extremely well, defensively and offensively. Regulation league record is now 13-2-1 which clinched the league title for the Tr-County Briggs. Today at 3pm behind the school the team will face Tri-County in a semifinal match on the way to the state vocational title. November 7: On the evening of Friday, November 7th the Pathfinder Boys Varsity Soccer team defeated Lee High School 2-nil in the first round of the Western Mass Tournament. Assisted by junior Andrew Harrington, sophomore Jeff Belanger scored the first goal with less than ten seconds remaining in the first-half. Three minutes into the second-half Belanger scored again giving the Pioneers their second and final goal of the night. Great defensive play by goalie Corey Morin and fullbacks Jeremy Desjardins-Smith, Geno Gustafson, Benjamin Manning and Ruben Williams-Rollins helped Pathfinder earn their sixth shut-out of the season. On November 10th Pathfinder will face Pioneer Regional of Northfield, MA in the next round of the tournament. November 10: Pathfinder Boys Varsity Soccer was defeated in their quarter final match 2-0 against Pioneer Regional. Cory Morin had an outstanding game with 11 saves. Jeff Belanger, Bryan Davey, Brad Landry, Ben Manning, and Andrew Harrington all played consistently strong the whole 80 min. This concludes the 2008 soccer season; Coach Rickson along with the team would like to thank all that supported us throughout the season.

Chris Santos played outstanding in the goal making 16 saves in recording his second shutout this season. Jimmy Henry, Pat Boucher and Matais Templman score goals in the victory. September 18: Congratulations to the Boys J.V. Soccer team, on there 3-2 win over Bay Path. Scoring for Pathfinder were Jim Henry, Mike Mullhollen, and Jacob Moriarty. Also Joey Doyle, Sean Fitzgerald, and Morgan Lavalle palyed a great game on defense. Great Team win. September 24: Congratulations to the Boys J.V. Soccer team on there 2-2 tie with Northhampton. Scoring for Pathfinder was Jim Henry and Jacob Moraity. Also Josh Sikorski played an outstanding game in goal and also at full back. Also playing well were Mat Przybyla, Matt Southworth, Pat Boucher, Nick Southworth, Josh Gibbs, Mike Mullhollen, Ian Simpson, Justin Valardi, Adam Siegel, Matias Templeman, Colin Kokosa, and Camron Peletier. Also Morgan LaValle and Joey Doyle play outstanding on defense. Great team win. October 14: Congratulations to the boys J.V. Soccer team on there 2-1 win over Franklin Tech. scoring for Pathfinder were Mike Mullhollen and Pat Boucher. Josh Sakorski and Joey Doyle palyed outstanding on defense in the win. Great Team Win. October 22: Congratulations to the Boys J.V. Soccer Team on there 4-1 win over Pioneer Christian. Socring for Pathfinder were Cam Peletier with 2 goals, Jim Henry, and Josh Sikorski with one each. Also Jacob Moriarty and Ian Simpson played great on defense. Great Team Win. The boys record for the whole year is 10-6-1.

September 12: The girls varisty soccer team defeated Westfield Voke on Friday 1-0. The offense found its rhythm midway through the 2nd half behind a strong defense and stellar midfield play. Congratulations girls! The team travels to Blackstone balley tech today. Players will be dismissed at 1:00 PM.
September 16: Congratulations to the girls varisty soccer team for their 5-1 win over Commerce yesterday. Renee Turgeon scored 2 goals to lead the offense, followed by Jessylynn Guyer, Chelsea Manley, and Caitlin Hurley with one goal each. Betsy Vadnais and Christine Kandrotas led a strong defensive effort, and Devin Dreisch had 11 saves in the goal. Great Team effort girls! Practice today at 2:40.
September 23: The girls varisty won thier game with Sci-Tech by Renee Turgeon kicking a pently goal with 8 minutes to go in the game.
September 29: The girls Varisty Soccer team but McCann Tech yesterday 2-1. Caitlin Hurley socrd both goals with assits from Sarah Flynn and Chelsea Goodrich. The midfield and the defense played solidly in front of goalie Jessylynn Guyer who recorded 13 saves. The team takes their winning momentum into tonight's game vs. Westfield Voke at 7:00 at St. Joe's field. Any team members who need a ride to game should see Mr. Lynch in room 123 before the end of the day.
September 30: Congratulations to the girls varsity soccer team for their 3-0 victory over Westfield Voke last night. Caitlin Hurley scored on an assist from Chelsea Goodrich to open up the scoring. Jessylynn Guyer followed with 2 unassisted goals for the Pioneers. Strong midfield and defensive play helped Devin Dreisch make 8 saves and Jessylynn Guyer 4 saves for the combined shutout. October 10: The girls varsity soccer team beat Sci-Tech on Friday 4-1. Cait Hurley scored 3 goals to lead the Pioneers, and Melissa Sullivan notched her first varisty goal to round out the scoring. Jessylynn Guyer had a strong game in the net with 10 saves including a penalty shot, and 2 assists. Assisting on the other goals were Cait Hurley and Sarah Flynn. Besty Vadnais, Jen Anderson, Ashley Anderson, Christine Kandrotas, Chelsea Manley and Chelsea Goodrich all played well in the victory. Great job girls! Practice today at 2:40.
October 21: Congratulations to the girls varsity soccer team for their 4-2 win over Commerce yesterday. Cait Hurley socred 3 goals and Melissa Landry 1 goal for the Pioneers. The defense and midfield played well in front of goalies Jessylynn Guyer and Ashley Anderson who registered 8 and 4 saves respectively. Great team effort girls! Practice today from 2:40-4:00.
October 31: The girls varsity soccer team qualified for the Western Mass. tournament on Friday with a 3-2 win over McCann Tech. Cait Hurley opened up the scoring for the Pioneers with a goal 1 minute into the game. Renee Turgeon followed with 2 goals of her own to complete the offense for the girls. Jessylynn Guyer was a stalwart in the net once again with 12 saves. Steady midfield and defensive play helped seal the victory. Playing well in their last home game were seniors Betsy Vadnais, Chelsea Goodrich, Chelsey Manley, Melissa Sullivan, Cait Hurley, Sarah Flynn, and Jen Anderson. Congratulations girls! October 2: In a meeting with 4 Rivers yesterday, the girls' junior varsity soccer team narrowly lost an edge-of-the seat contest 4-3. The 4 Rivers team led 3-0 at the half as thye dominated the 4 Rivers defense with 3 back-to-back goals. The first was by Mariaj Peet on an assist by Sam Dickson. On the very next possession Heather Royce scored, again assisted by Sam. Just 3 1/2 minutes later, Corrina LaBonte scored on an assist by Brittany LaMotte. As the final whistle sounded, Brittany was leading another charge down for a trying goal. Very strong teamwork was backed up by Ashley Anderson and Sara Gucciardi in goal. Great job team! Enjoy a dat off from practice today. We will have a full practice on Monday to get ready for our next contest on Wednesday, October 10.
