The math teachers offer courses in Algebra I, Intermediate Algebra, Algebra II, Financial Algebra, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, AP Calculus, and AP Statistics.
Pathfinder math teachers use graphing calculators and computers in some courses to help students learn concepts and to make connections. The teachers also prepare students for success on standardized tests (SATs, ACTs, AP exams, MCAS) and assist students in their mastery of the Massachusetts Mathematics Curriculum Frameworks.
The Pathfinder mathematics curriculum has been designed to address student needs by complying with Massachusetts Frameworks & Common Core standards to prepare students for the MCAS graduation requirement. Our overarching goal is to provide content knowledge, problem-solving abilities, and higher-order thinking skills to all students so they are career and college ready upon graduation.
